The Epic of Gilgamesh
After his previous CD, Gematria, my father started getting into world music. A lot. In the process, he ended up getting a Roland JV-880 midi module with the world music expansion card. He was also reading the world’s oldest story, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and was quite fascinated with, well, everything about it. You can read all the how’s, why’s, who’s, etc. on his website.
I contributed less work than I remember contributing to this album, playing on three tracks: “Huwawa the Terrible,” “The Bull of Heaven,” and “The Journey,” a song I wrote and performed.
