These pages are just a small
part of what Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon have to offer. For our
20th Wedding anniversary, Mary Ann and I spent three days in Sedona,
and only scratched the surface. We have been there many times
(usually taking friends and family along), but this time I brought
along my digital camera! As we continue our future visits, I will
add to these pages. Enjoy!
This is the chapel of the Holy
Cross, located in central Sedona. It is a chapel built into the
side of a mountain and is perhaps the most beautiful spot in Sedona
- but that's difficult to say because ALL of Sedona and Oak Creek
Canyon is beautiful.
Once you've taken the walkway
up to the chapel, this is just one of the breathtaking views from
the top. The left butte is called "Courthouse Rock"
and center is named "Bell Rock". You can see a storm
brewing just to the right of Bell Rock.
This is another view from the
Chapel - these photos can't do this justice - it is a panorama
of exquisite beauty that one must experience.

Chapel, looking East.
Here is a close up of Courthouse
Rock I took on the way home. Unfortunately, it was overcast, and
the brilliant reds of the sandstone and mud stone are not as vivid.
Again, this too must be seen with your own eyes.
Cathedral Rock at Crescent Valley
Moon State Park
This incredible edifice is known
as Cathedral Rock. It towers majestically over Crescent Moon Valley.
You can hike up to the base of the structure - and on the east
side you can hike up to the saddle between the mountains.
