The Southwest Inn at Sedona
This is the room we stayed in
(a 20th anniversary present from Laura and Serge - thanks guys!)
Here is the view from the balcony
of our room at the Southwest Inn at Sedona.
West Rim Trail at Oak Creek Canyon
North of Sedona lies the magnificent
Oak Creek Canyon, where you drive to the bottom of the Canyon
and hike along Oak Creek. The trail follows the creek for about
3 miles and then goes off into the deep wilderness. We saw some
deer and some lizards, but no Bobcats.
It's a beautiful hike and I would
highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sedona.
I took this shot because it was
awe inspiring - the trees you see in the foreground are about
100 feet tall. It's difficult to get an idea of scale here, but
that "hole" in the side of the canyon was probably about
200 feet tall!
Yours truly on the path. It was
a nice break from the heat of the day.
