Kitt Peak Observatory

Here is Dad, Mom and Mary Ann standing at the top of Kitt Peak National Observatories - it is located on a mountain over 7,000 ft. above sea level in southern Arizona. Kitt Peak has over 20 domes on top of the mountain. You see in the distance the largest dome, the four-meter telescope - which designates the size of the mirror - the mirror inside the telescope is 12 feet wide!

"I'm the king of the world!" exclaimed Dad - sadly, these were the last words I heard him speak before he plunged headlong into a harrowing 7,000 ft. fall. Shortly after this photo was taken, Mom (the "Queen - and true ruler of Dad's world") snuck behind him and the rest as they say, is history.

Mom tries to look shocked and surprised in this photo after Dad "lost his footing on the railing".

Me and Mom

Mom and Mary Ann - in the distance you can see Tucson.

Mom and Dad at the midway point of the Solar Telescope (the largest in the world). The rest of the scope is buried 150 ft into the mountain.
